A nanostructured ZrC coating was prepared on the CFC surface using low-pressure chemical vapor deposition.

We have ablated the ZrC coating on CFC with oxy-acetylene for 100 seconds.

Under the premise of this experiment, the linear ablation rate and mass ablation rate of the CFC coating were reduced by 50.7% and 42.1% compared to the traditional ZrC coating, respectively.
